When the noise seems unbearable, choose silence and solitude

We live in a world full of sounds. The chatters of people, the pop music at the restaurants and bars, the dogs barking on the streets, the serious discussions among a group of 40-50 year oldies about how significantly the economy is degrading, some debate panels on religion and politics on media channels, the unsettling discussions at home – these are some of the sounds that we are familiar with, and can’t live without. However, all of these sounds, if given too much, become the unpleasant noise in a person’s life. After all, too much of anything is dangerous, isn’t it?
Sometimes silence has so much to talk. Taking pauses from the noise and indulging in solitude can often teach you so many things. Sometimes, all you need for an escape from reality is the indulgence into solitude.
I read somewhere that speech came out of silence, out of the fullness of silence. As words originate from the silence, there is something silent in every word. And silence always has something to say as it had the power to create words. Even sometimes, silence speaks louder than words. It is often a symbol of co-existence in a world full of different opinions. Sometimes it’s the yes and the no. Sometimes, it’s even a complete sentence of its own.
When the noise that surrounds us becomes too loud to bear, we crave for a bit of silence. Sometimes, the loudness of the noise overpowers the silences and pauses. And that’s when we seek peace in the silence of nature – the sunsets, the moon, and the sea waves. Sipping coffee while sitting on the windowsill, you look at the sky changing its colors every minute, and that’s how the sky speaks of its story of how it embraces the change. You might look at the moon every night while it tells you the story of its phases and how it accepts its dark phase and waits for it to get over with the belief to shine once again. You might talk to the sea waves that touch your feet as if it washes your feet that you had stained while walking on a path full of dirt.
Sometimes silence has so much to talk. Taking pauses from the noise and indulging in solitude can often teach you so many things. Sometimes, all you need for an escape from reality is the indulgence into solitude. When the noise seems unbearable, come to nature and seek silence and solitude.
